Catching up – Easter Adventures

Easter is a long weekend due to 4 days not being at work, so I kept Karen company and made sure we had some adventures. On the Saturday we went to a new part of the Olympic Park called Waterglades, this is where they recycle all the water and is quite scenic. There’s also a good view of the stadium and orbit.

I also got to climb a tree …

On the Sunday I had to have an Easter egg of course!

Rather than sit in and eat chocolate all day, thought we’d do some of the Shaun the Sheep trail so went to London Bridge and started at the Shard. Went to HMS Belfast and walked along to Tower Bridge.

Thought I’d then have a bit of fun and a paddle, although when I told Adam on Tuesday he was a bit worried I might hurt myself which, of course, I didn’t as Karen was supervising me.

To end the day, I got to drive the DLR home which was really fun and particularly nice in the sunshine.

Change of scenery

Well, I had an unexpected change today.

Karen couldn’t get to work as the lifts in her building weren’t working and, as she lives on the 13th floor, one stair climb on Monday evening was more than enough.

She didn’t forget about me though and made sure I was looked after by Maria, who has a rather lovely spot on a sunflower tin. Maria’s desk is slightly more crowded than Karen’s, but I’m still well looked after.

Nearly had a bath in the afternoon, though, as Maria spilt her water – fortunately I was saved in time and all dry, ready to return to my normal spot tomorrow.

Looking for Shaun the Sheep

We had a good wander in the sunshine in London yesterday doing some more of the Shaun the Sheep trail.

We started by getting the tube – not so keen on that as I have to stay securely in Karen’s bag, so its rather dark.

Walked through One New Change and then onto St Paul’s Cathedral. Lots of people sitting out in the gardens so we joined them and had a sit down on a bench (got a few strange looks!). My favourite Shaun so far was there which was a Chelsea Pensioner – probably because I have a soft spot for them after I met them at a work event.

Then we wandered over the Millennium bridge going towards Tate Modern. I did have a perch but it was quite windy so Karen had to hang onto me so I didn’t fall in the Thames.

Got to the Globe and saw the final Shaun of the day. Was going to get a bus but stops closed so had to walk quite far, fortunately there was a rather nice seat so had a bit of a rest in the sun.

Hello world!

Welcome to my friend, Monkey’s, blog where I’ll be telling you all about his adventures.

I bought Monkey about 18 months ago for Adam. This was because I’d bought back a push up flower from Central Park, New York, but whenever Adam talked to me, he would play with the flower and I thought he might break it (as he talks to me a lot!). So, as he was being cheeky, I bought him Monkey.

I’ve currently got custody of Monkey as Adam has been neglecting him and so I’m using this as a way of helping me get out and about.

Hope you enjoy our adventures.
